Childcare
In Victoria child care services are provided by the council or municipality or they are provided by privately owned centres.
Council or Municipality
Services can be used by people who live, work, study or visit the municipality.
Childcare centers and family day care
Family day care is where a registered carer looks after children in her own home.
Both options offer full-time, part-time or occasional care for children 0-6 years and both options have waiting lists.
Private Child Care Centres
There are many private centres all over Melbourne, but they can be quite expensive.
All centres whether private or municipal can have lengthy waiting lists.
